From the remote district of Gedeb comes a standout natural-processed coffee grown by Tigist, a young woman farmer cultivating excellence on her 5-acre family farm. Cool temperatures, high altitude, and rich loamy soil come together to create a cup brimming with sweetness and vibrant flavor.
During harvest, Tigist - married and a mother of two - employs 150 seasonal workers to carefully pick and dry ripe coffee cherries. Each cherry is meticulously inspected for ripeness and consistency, washed clean, and spread across raised beds to dry evenly over 10–20 days.
Tigist partners exclusively with Ephtah Specialty Coffee, a newly founded exporter led by Wubit Bekele and her talented all-women team. Raised in Ethiopia’s coffee heartland, Wubit founded Ephtah to empower women across the coffee supply chain - championing inclusion, community engagement, and quality improvement from farm to export.
