Small family farms located in the Guji zone of southern Ethiopia, are the producers behind our new single origin coffee without caffeine. The high altitude and volcanic soil encompassing this area create an exceptional environment for growing coffee.
After harvest and traditional natural dry processing, the coffee is transported to a decaffeination facility. “Swiss Water” processed decaffeination is a methodology that begins with high-quality coffee and no chemicals or harmful additives are used throughout the process. Green coffees beans are soaked in water to expand the beans for caffeine extraction. The beans are then introduced to a solution concentrated with coffee soluble that extracts the caffeine without extracting the coffee’s flavor.
