Guatemala Bella Carmona
Tasting Notes: Apricot, Brown Sugar, Walnut
Roast: Medium
Bella Carmona comes from one of Guatemala’s most beautiful and captivating valleys, Antigua. This unique micro lot is of the Bourbon varietal and produced by 4th generation farmer and miller, Luis Pedro Zelaya (LPZ). Fresh picked cherries are processed at the Beneficio Bella Vista, which is owned by the Zelaya family.
To keep these individual micro-lots organized, the cherry is kept separate using numerous channels during processing (pulping, fermenting and drying). The traceability of all coffees and lot separation is tracked electronically using software created by Bella Vista Mill. During the drying phase of processing, each lot is tagged with a QR code allowing the team precision and transparency while collecting samples for evaluating the quality of each lot.
Coffees from Bella Carmona are highly sought after and come with high accolades. With taste notes of apricot, brown sugar and walnut, we are thrilled to experience this for the first time with all of you!
