Ethiopia Dumerso Dark
Tasting Notes: Butterscotch, Dried Cherry, Dark Chocolate
Roast: Dark
This coffee is produced on small farms of 1-12 acres in size, in the renowned Yirgacheffe region. Built in 1998, the Dumerso Washing Station was inoperable for many years until sisters, Hirut and Mahder Berhanu reopened it in 2013 and contineu to serve as owners/operators. Harvested at the peak of ripeness, farmers bring cherries to the Dumerso Washing Station where they are inspected and depulped. The coffee is then fermented for 36-48 hours, readying the coffee to be laid out on on raised beds for drying before export.
We are delighted to showcase this coffee, representing a women owned and operated washing station with thoughtful cultivation and attention brought to processing revealing the true potential of coffees from this region.
Also available as a light roast.
