Tasting Notes: Caramel, Cream, Strawberry
For a third year, we’ve partnered with Maurico “Moe” Salavaerria and are excited to have Cruz Gorda back on our menu again. Innovative in coffee preparation and processing, Mauricio is an expert in microlots. He processes all of his coffees, which allows him to hone his skills as well devotes his efforts to being a producer respectful of the environment.
This coffee is naturally dry processed which leaves the coffee fruit on the bean as it dries in the sun, drawing the sweetness of the coffee cherry into the bean. The resulting cup highlights notes of juicy strawberry and rich caramel.
