Coffee Story:
El Salvador Cruz Gorda is back! For a second year in a row, we are ecstatic to have Moe's coffee back on our menu. Finca Gruz Gorda, located in the Apaneca Mountain range is one of the 5 farms owned by Mauricio (Moe) Salaverria. We met Moe in 2010 and year after year, have been able to procure more lots from his different fincas (farms). Moe's perseverance for excellence and unique cup quality, continues to shine and is showcased again in this year's harvest.
The flavors in this coffee are influence by processing technique, excellent growing conditions and attention to detail. Naturally dry processed, the coffee cherry is harvested, and sun dried with the fruit still intact to the outer surface of the bean. The coffee is then milled, removing the dried cherry and exposing the coffee seed.
